I was at my local Best buy today and saw Silence of The Lambs for $44.95 on Blu-Ray. How do studioes expect Blu to take off by letting companies like that sell their movies at ridicolous prices?

I saw that too. I wondered if it was a stickering mistake. It was on sale for $29 so I picked it up, but yeah a list price of $44 is just ridiculous.

But it's actually $24.99 at Best Buy. That is a pricing mistake. I pointed it out to the manager at my local BB.

Btw, you'd better hurry. That price may go back up to $34.99 (MSRP) after the 1st week like most Fox/MGM titles do.

I just wouldn't buy it there, I saw it at Wal-Mart for $25 AFTER I bought it at Hastings for $30. That bothered me a bit. :P

Best buy is a joke when it comes to their Blu-ray prices. I very rarely buy from them...usually only when i have a gift card or they are having a good sale. $29 is not a sale.

Best Buy appears to have printed the wrong prince on it since MSRP is $34.99. Can't help but laugh a little imagining the OP's reaction when he saw $44.95.

I bought it at Wal-Mart the day it was released for $24.95. Still a little high IMO, but I really like this movie a lot so I went ahead and picked it up.

They just put those ridiculous prices on so that when we actually buy it for the regular price that is still slightly overpriced we think we are getting a deal. But our wife or girlfreind is right next to us as we walk out of the store shaking her head in disgust saying under her breath....Sucker!
