The Irishman (2019) - Blu-ray Forum

I'm thankful this is getting a blu-ray release in the very least. I would have no other means of watching this film.

Posting this because I would support a Criterion UHD release of The Irishman. Day 1.

I believe there would be enough people to support a UHD release to make this profitable for Criterion.

Prove me right!

This would be a prime candidate for their inaugural UHD release, but I don't see it happening. Just doesn't seem to be any indication that Criterion's going in that direction. But I'd love to be wrong.

There's certainly no easier way for Criterion to jump into UHD-BD than by offering the Netflix Originals on the format, but I can't see it happening right off the bat, though I can see it happening down the line, once player counts go up with the next-gen consoles.
