Not gonna lie, this might be a tough purchase for me. Between the DVDs release, the 2011 Blu Ray box set, and the digital release, in terms of supplement material, I have it all and then some.

The only thing new is the 4K discs.

Am soo looking forward to getting the Star Wars: Skywalker Saga 9-film 4K BD set. Having been a big Star Wars-fan for 40 years, getting the films on 4K BD has been a dream. My only concern is the price (incl. import tax etc). I may have to mortgage my apartment to afford it if I buy the set on release... but this will be worth it!

In fact, TLJ will be given all new Blu-Rays that include the Score-only version, and the Meet the Porgs featurette from the Target DVD.

Is that where they've (bizarrely) put Empire of Dreams? I can't think of anything from RotS that warrants an extra 2.5 hours over all the other films.

If you have the digital release of Revenge of the Sith, take a look at all the content. I haven’t clocked it but at a glance, I could definitely see it adding up to over 5 hours of content. That’s how much stuff is with the Revenge of the Sith digital version.

Individual US releases are up for pre-order on wowhd.

And the UK cover of Rise is a mess IMO. Might have to go for the US release instead with that one.

Surely, a lightsaber is more appropriate.
Technically, Death Stars appear in six movies.

AotC

RotS

ANH

RotJ

TFA

TRoS

Seven, actually, if you count Rogue One.

"Death Star" is also name-checked in TESB and TLJ. And that leaves TPM and Solo as the only two movies without a reference or appearance.

Looks like even the letter from Mark Hamill isn't exclusive to the UHD Skywalker Saga set as its included in the Blu-ray version of the set and I have to say I much prefer the packaging of that 18 disc set with each Trilogy being housed in their own digi-pack to the 27 disc book type.

[Show spoiler]
I would take that packaging for the 4K set in a heartbeat.

Skip it.
I am.

The only thing that could make me possibly consider it is if I had a Atmos sound rig 7.1.4....which I don't and most likely never will.

I never buy anything digitally, so I wouldn't know what the digital version has.

Are you able to provide a list of the digital extras for all the films? That might give us a better idea of the complete extras.

It would a huge oversight if Empire of Dreams isn't included though.

To top that off, they’re on Disney+ 4K and I’m a subscriber.

But, I initially made a list of Blu rays was I was going to upgrade when 4K came out. The list was small but Star Wars was on the list.

I would’ve easily bought this box set had I liked the Sequel Trilogy but Rise of Skywalker completely ruined that.

I don’t like the individual covers. I prefer to have Episodes I-VI as one set but that’s not happening anymore.

It looks as if I might have to rig up something to my liking on this one.

Telling you right now, Empire of Dreams is not on any of the digital releases of the films. Not a one. In terms of streaming it, you can only do that on Disney+.

In terms of providing a list....well, that’s gonna take some serious time to do.

But, with confidence, I can say that the supplement material that was in the 2011 Blu ray box set (spread through out the three bonus discs) are all included in the digital releases for the films EXCEPT Star Wars Spoofs.

With the Prequel digital releases, they did add the long form documentaries that accompanied each film when released on DVD and SOME of the content from starwars.com at the time.

Yep, Empire of Dreams and the lack of Vader's "No. No!!!!" in ROTJ are the main reasons I have kept the 2004 DVD set.

Nope. Available from all retailers.

If Zoom get the single disc releases, I’ll be cancelling the 4K set at Amazon for those instead I think. You just know some of those discs are arriving scratched in the book. They needed proper trays like in the standard blu ray set.
