i do not think this is getting a release in 3D considering the studio. I do not think MGM ever did a 3D movie.

MGM did too!(two) "Kiss Me Kate" and "Arena", both in the Golden Age, both in Anscocolor and both now controlled by Time/Warner.

If this actually happens in some countries that is great. If the conversion is anything approaching decent then that is also great but the biggest if is of course whether or not this ever sees light of day on 3D Blu Ray.

We got very lucky with Hobbs and Shaw 3D on Blu Ray, but a Bond movie on 3D Blu Ray seems like too much of a pipe dream. Hopefully all my negativity will mean the opposite!

The common factor is Universal but I agree, the odds are stacked against a 3D Blu-ray even if the film does get a theatrical 3D release in some countries.

Would seem a little bit odd for this to get a 3D release; had they wanted to release a Bond film in 3D one might have expected either Skyfall or Spectre to get the treatment, given both of those were released when 3D theatrical releases were reasonably common. I'd just be a little bit surprised if they decided to go with 3D now, when most filmmakers/studios are turning away (or have long since abandoned) 3D.

That said, what do I know? I'll not get my hopes up but time will tell.
