Eventually, and personally I'm hoping sooner rather than later. This is a very hotly anticipated title for me and so I'm hoping to have it asap.

I literally have seen YETI: GIANT OF THE 20TH CENTURY ten times in the past four days. It's pretty much THE ROOM of Yeti movies.

Disagree. People can definitely say what they want but just as equally, people have the right to be offended by things others say. No one is saying Bill can't say racist things but that doesn't mean I have to condone that and therefore, I'll stop purchasing his product. Consequences for what you say and/or do is still a part of civilized life. So again, fire away and talk **** but you can't expect me to fall in line and not react to it. Ok, I'm done and my apologies for derailing this thread.

Same here, absolutely. Plus, I do hope that their hype: "It's a brand new high def transfer from a mint unused 35mm print. It looks phenomenal." goes equal with the quality.

Amazon says that the release for Ator is May 26...I know it was already released straight from DF last year. I assuming is the exact same release?

I see Ruined is still here plugging away ...GOAT.

EDIT: Just checked on eBay to see if my copy of The Carrier Blu was already selling for hundreds if not thousands of dollars like Ruined predicted. No suck luck...still no takers for that GIMPED release.

May as well take the item down - when Vinegar Syndrome executes another hostile takeover and does a real resto, that old disc won't even be a good coaster

The 23 copies listed on the DF website might be close to the last, if not the last copies of THE CARRIER available (last I heard they were down to under 100 before sellout and that was a couple weeks ago).

While there might be a remastered theatrical disc down the road if you want the superior directors cut might want to move quick before it is sold out and people cash out their 401blus on eBay.

Edit : not even 830am and already on 2nd viewing of YETI for the day.

Saying a word doesn't make you a racist. That is snowflake nonsense. There is context and intent regardless of how social media has skewed reality. There is also almost always hypocrisy involved with the outraged person. That is why the right to say it is more important.

On a related note, if one is going to claim one thing is racist and another thing is not racist simply because it applies to a different race/ethnicity that said person isn't sensitive to - well, then doing so inherently is racist through racial/ethnic hypocrisy.

In other words, its either all or nothing - meaning application of racism accusations must be equal across groups based solely upon the content in question, anything in-between (i.e. being more sensitive to one group than another despite equally racist content) is inherently racist.

Saying a racist word doesn't mean people have to sit and take it without having a negative reaction to it. Privileged people who haven't had much experience being on the receiving end of epithets are the ones who tend to have such negative reactions towards people who dare to be offended. They don't try to walk in the shoes of those who have been persecuted but rather shoot off from their own comparatively sheltered experience. And no, I'm not a big social media fan and the "cancel" culture can be quite extreme and self-defeating but the real damaging hypocrisy comes from those who are offended at those who are offended, which is a growing trend lately embraced by glib people with a big forum such as Joe Rogan and Bill Maher. The right to say offensive things is important but that doesn't mean there shouldn't be a consequence to what was said, including having a teachable moment arising as a result. So I stand by my claim that it is equally important to say whatever you want AND have the right to be offended instead of falling in line and shutting up. So yeah, you can keep calling people "snowflakes" a typical term used by a particular political party but I'm not going to back down from my feelings just for the purposes to make people with your mindset comfortable.

And again, my apologies for derailing this thread and taking the bait. I couldn't resist. But this is where I stop with this for real this time. Back to the real topic at hand, folks!

"Privileged people" are demonized in many ways, epithets aside, in today's society. So this line sort of deflates your argument.

Covid19 has shown we should focus more on being united and stop with the division by socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, gender, etc. We need to get along and make things work for everyone, pitting people against each other through divisiveness just stands in the way of that happening.

That's really just backing down from an argument, asking someone to stop a complaint/discussion/criticism and simply "work together." This rhetoric just feels dismissive or worse, it's pointing the finger back at the other person and insinuating they're the ones at fault or that their raising of the issue is equal to the issue alleged.

I didn't back down nor ask anyone to stop.

Instead I simply stated everyone has got their own share of ways they are not treated nicely by others in some form or another. There are plenty of examples that are easily citable for virtually any group one can think of.

I do not think it is wise to support inflammatory or derisive language. However, I also think it is not wise to have an "us vs them" attitude. Both of these approaches are not constructive as both of them exacerbate the problem (division). We need to focus more on working together for solutions instead of pointing fingers and drawing battle lines, while collectively realizing that everyone has their own societal baggage to deal with regardless of the group one is in - especially in times such as these.
