Wondering the same , there both 16 BD50 while the UK is 20 BD50 and the German suppose to have the most content .

I purchased the French set a couple of weeks ago. It's a beautiful box. Haven't played anything really, just a couple of seconds of an episode and it looks fantastic.

Yes I do. I never give away or sell anything I purchased unless I find it repulsive when I get it and it was misleading when I bought it. Happened once only, lol

A true collector

We know the Turbine set is better than this one, though I did notice Season 4 is supposed to be in stereo in this set too, are you able to check if Burial Ground and Knight of the Juggernaut is still mono in this set at all?

I can check, but as I have little time these days, how will I be able to tell? Do I need to listen carefully or will it be that the player will actually show in the OSD that it's a Monoaural track?

I think you'd have to listen to it as even the mono is encoded in dual channel I think.

The best bet is to listen to the intro on the episode after Knight of the Juggernaut and then go back to that episode, should be very obvious on the theme tune if it's in stereo or not.

The easiest way would be to load up the audio tracks on a computer in Audacity but not ideal for yourself due to limited time

Ok I checked. Oh the French Elephant K2000 set, "Knight Of The Juggernaut" (both Part 1 and 2, both lacking an intro) are definitely in Stereo.
I was confused as I expected that "Burial Ground" would also be in Stereo, but I'm pretty sure this one was in Mono instead.
Both were, by the looks of it, encoded to 2.0 Stereo track on the disc.

That's pretty significant that "Knight of the Juggernaut" is in Stereo as Universal told Turbine it's only in Mono, strange to hear it's lacking the intro, I know it's edited in to two parts but does it just start straight into the episode?
Did the music sound stereo to your ears?

Interesting that as expected Burial Ground is in Mono though.

Do you have the Turbine set as well?

Premise: watched the show as a kid in the late 80s and never since.
Even though I also have the DVD sets from the US I never got a chance to watch it.
Juggernaut are definitely in Stereo and they lack intros, both start with the Main title theme.

I do have the Turbine set. Shall I check the same episodes there? I can only do so next weekend though.

I've not seen them properly since the 90s on ITV re runs in the UK.

Ahh ok so they have the main intro but not the 30 second intro teasers, got you.

This past weekend, spotted repeat airings of Knight Rider in the TV listings. Currently, UK TV channel HorrorXtra is repeating the first season Mondays to Fridays at 2 am - 3 am (they're towards the end of the first season this week). Prior to this, the show had a repeat airing on Legend (formerly Horror Channel UK) on Monday to Friday evenings/nights at 7 pm - 8 pm later on last year.
