Does anyone know if Umbrella still ships Beyond Genres titles with slipcovers (I'm interested in Dagon)? I browsed Instagram yesterday and saw most of titles with slipcovers so I've been wondering if those slipcovers are exclusive to their site and other retailers sell slipless copies...

Might have to send Umbrella an email to check if they have them in stock with the slip. Last time I saw Dagon in store at JB HiFi, which was months ago now, it didn't have a slip. I used to own a copy and the slip was pretty nice. It'd be worth tracking down IMO. Good luck!

The slips arent store exclusive but they only pressed a few of them(I ordered Razerback and reanimator from amazon while back). Ive seen the occasional copy of dagon with a slip but not for a while

Maybe because it costs more to have reversible artwork and perhaps due to the everplunging aussie dollar and recession, replication costs have gone up and the expense wont be justified.

It was released during this time of Covid, which might have something to do with it not having reverse art, and them not mentioned it on social media. Flick them an email, and see what they say about it... Perhaps it's a cost cutting measure, or their reserve cover art will make a come back once society is back on track.

Honestly I am just glad that an obscure movie like this got a local release at all. Extras, reversible art, slipcovers, are all bonusses imo when it comes to the movie. Just give me a decent enough encode, and lossless(or at least a decent lossy track) on more catalogue and lesser known films.
