Dallas is replacing a couple of big pieces on defense this year, and Griffen will be partly responsible in filling the void. Multiple teams expressed interest in Griffen this offseason, but waited until training camp to sign. He'll have to go through standard coronavirus testing before practicing, although he'll still have a few weeks with his new team before starting in the season opener. Griffen has at least 8.0 sacks in each of his last five healthy seasons and should be in line for another strong season alongside DE Demarcus Lawrence, DT Gerald McCoy, and DT Dontari Poe. The Cowboys have one of the best rosters in football.

Lawrence, Poe, McCoy, Griffen and Smith (specifically as a passing down player) could sneakily be a good but old line. That's assuming we have a season, of course.

George (Greg) Kittle has agreed in principal to terms with the 49ers to a 5 year extension. 75 million total, 40 million guaranteed for injury and 30 million guaranteed at signing.

Kelce says hold my beer

The contract extension would keep Kelce in Kansas City, presumably catching passes from Patrick Mahomes, for the next six seasons. The extension comes after George Kittle signed a monster deal Thursday to remain in San Francisco. Kelce, who will be 31 in October, has at least a couple more seasons in his prime. He's put up gaudy numbers in Mahomes' first two years as the team's starter, including 6.25 receptions and 80.2 yards per game.

Bills’ standout left tackle Dion Dawkins and Buffalo reached agreement on a four-year, $60 million contract extension, sources tell ESPN.

The deal ties Dawkins to Buffalo, and protecting Josh Allen’s blindside, through the 2024 season.

Compensation update: Chiefs are giving Pro Bowl TE Travis Kelce a four-year, $57 million extension that ties him to Kansas City for the next six years, per source.

No it's not a myth imo, money can be moved around between contract years but teams spending these kind of dollars might really be fning themselves if the cap falls which it very well could. If that happens these teams will eventually be in cap hell, the more moving around of contracts the deeper the hole that is being dug!
