JVC's 2019 NX5, NX7 & NX9 projectors

So to maximize the picture quality with physical discs and a JVC projector, does one need the 820 or 9000? Or does the DTM update now negate the "nits" setting for the Panasonic players? I currently have a 420 and am wondering if I need to upgrade.
