Default LCD and Plasma

I think LCDs have a reputation for blurring fast action. Something still that needs work. You may want to opt for a plasma tv (unless you play a lot of games).

I am just wondering if the combination of my PS3 and the TV listed will be a good combo. I don't want to go bigger because my apartments living room won't be suitable for a TV any bigger.

Is the Samsung HL-T5087S paired up with my PS3 a good combination?

i was totally in your position a few months ago. consider sony rear projection tvs. cheaper and just as good as plasma/lcd. i did a ton of research before i made the jump. i just bought one reluctantly and i'm pumped on it (60xbr2) cost me 2600. check these tvs out:

sony style

(if you live in southern california, i know an excellent wholesaler that can hook you up...he offers more than just sonys)

Great info. I am going to buy my dad a new tv. Going LCD and large size, 4o inch and up. Looking for a set with great contrast ratio and 1080p (doesnt have to) Want to take my dad to the stores to look at sets. He likes Sears, so do they have a good selection? I kow Sears will lower prices against online shops or ads from other stores. Any model # i should be aware of? Im l ookin at $2000 range to play in. Thanks for any info.

After doing some further research online, this is what I found about the TV that I am looking at...

-Operates @ 120 Hz (is this the best you can get? from what I've seen, it is...)
-10,000:1 Contrast Ratio
-Runs @ 1080P/24 (again, is this the best you can get?)

What I am wondering is... is this a good deal for a 2200.00 Rear Proj. DLP 1080P TV??
