ill be honest, wasn't thrilled with heat. BTW... notice pacino and deniro's faces were never in the same shot? one or two standins. my understanding is that they can't stand to do scenes together anymore.

as personal favorites when it comes to modern cinema classics, i am a huge fan of fight club and usual suspects.

I remember not being that thrilled with it back in the theater, but that was largely due to having completely false expectations.

The trailers had made it look like it was going to be more action oriented, so I was prepared for that vs. a serious crime drama/character piece.

Repeated viewings easily made me love this thing.

Try it again sometime.

Completely untrue. The making ofs on the newer discs show them in the same scenes, at the same time, and having a good time, to boot.

well after everyone crush on this movie, i may have to. i did watch it only once on DVD, but i was equally expecting an action shoot 'em up movie.

you got me there. this was def due to reads on various sites, rumors or what not. since i had seen heat once and couldn't recall face shots of both men in any scene, i just made the next logical assumption.

thanks for putting my foot in my ass. i will go visit the proctoligist now.
