Surprisingly crappy cover, all things considered.

And I get why those three names are the ones listed, but I'm much more interested in Louise Fletcher, John Rhys-Davies, and Marc Alaimo.

How old was Clooney in '83? Just watched him in the Netflix film Midnight Sky and he looks like he's in his 70's. Could be the acting and/or facial hair but, man, I feel old.

Saw this online as part of a Spanish (I think) streaming movie festival this year. The 80s stuff is fantastic cheese, but the stuff they have filmed to pad it out is awful. Especially the music festival stuff. Yikes. Worth a watch though.

He was 22 in 1983. He is only 59 but I guess years of hard living must have done him in by your description!!!

I've heard some amazing things about this production especially how the new footage was shot on the 35mm stock the sequel was originally shot in before it shut down.

Lot of love and consideration was put into this.

I'm sure they weren't making a classic, but it's always a shame when circumstances alter a film's production.

The backstory on this one is endlessly fascinating and tragic at the same time.

Didn't seem that way when I watched it, the differences are pretty glaring and the footage they shot with a new band in a dark room for the outdoor festival scenes are appalling and needless. Felt like they were just mates with whoever was making it.

Should reiterate the 80s footage is gold (John Rhys Davies in particular) and it's restoration looks lovely.

There is no way to avoid buying this film, the history alone makes it worth owning.

At the very least, hopefully we can get a proper Cinema Snob episode out of it now!

Probably so... most (if not all) Gravitas Ventures releases are BD-R's now.
