Yes your 60GB can support it, there is no difference between the SKUs besides the ability to play PS2 games and the number of USB ports.

I do not ever expect to see it light up on my onkyo either, do to the PS3's bitstream short comings. I also know that it is a seperate format that was created to help with the lack of space on HD-DVD and that the bitrate can go as 1.5 meg a sec. I was just wondering if anyone has seen DD+ show up on the PS3's info screen at the top right under sound format. Or if it just shows up as DD with a differnt bitrate other than 448, or 640. Thanks.

I have an 80G PS3 and I just tried U-571 using the French and Spanish DD+ audio. In the info in the upper right corner they both indicated just Dolby Digital at 384kbps. No '+' was shown.

Most of the time it's because it's a HD DVD port and the design people made a mistake.

384 is DVD DD Bitrate (448 is one also).

Thanks for confirming the info. I ordered the trueHD Blu-ray demo, and it has some scences that are in DD+ 5.1 and 7.1. Guess I'll have to wait untill it gets here to see if the PS3 will read it in DD+, or DD. This is by no means a big deal, I just want to know if the PS3 supports DD+ or not. And i also want to know if its supported through PCM or bitstream.
