I'm not mad at you for posting what you did and nothing in my reply to you should have given you that impression. You said that I love to see it. You said that I love to see Paramount doing re-releases of movies that Criterion already released instead of ones that aren’t on Blu-ray. That statement isn't true. I don't love to see that. In fact, my reply stressed the exact opposite. And by the way, I'm not mad at you now either. As for re-releases, existing releases do go out of print, then becoming very expensive on the used market. Distribution rights can also be lost, so re-releases are never a bad thing. I do agree though. I'd much rather see more in the way of titles brought to Blu-ray for the first time than re-releases.

One of only two titles I ever saw at the theater (the other being THE ENGLISH PATIENT) that I still, to this day, curse myself for not getting up and leaving in the middle. Just the most excruciating awful, turgid film. Not here to thread crap, though—just putting this on the table for anyone considering a blind buy.
