Golden Winter - but a 3D version. EDIT: This bonus movie is English Friendly (original English audio) included.

I can not find anything about this bonus movie in 3D so I was thinking auto-convert. But watching it I don't think so. The opening scenes has views from a helicopter and the images fade from one to another and this is the only wonky looking part of the movie - but I think due to one image fading out while another fading in. I would be curious if anyone else has this and can comment on the 3D of this bonus film. It looks like an average conversion but not an auto conversion - someone made an effort? That really seems odd. It was never released in 3D anywhere but on this disc that I can find. They also don't list the title of the bonus movie on the disc for some reason? Almost like someone did a conversion for this but for one reason or another it never saw the light of day or a license issue prevented a 3D release and someone snuck it onto this release.

Anyway - if someone else who has this can comment on the 3D I just want to hear what you think. It is full frame and mostly depth but looks better than an auto-conversion. (The movie is about talking golden retriever pups so don't expect much, FYI).
I see two blu ray listing for this Golden Winter on Amazon Germany. Can you confirm the 3D one is definitely the exact artwork you pictured please? The other artwork appears to have the title on 2 separate lines. Of course the discs may be exactly the same.

I did not buy Golden Winter 3D blu-ray. I could not find any 3D listing for it. This movie is included as a "Real 3D-HD BonusFilm" on the German release (as pictured) of "Goat Story 2 - Goat Story with Cheese" or in German as found on the case: "Schlau wie eine Ziege". The Bonus movie is the only English friendly movie on that disc which says it is Region B but I never confirmed.

There are plenty of German releases that have a bonus film on the disc, usually these are autoconversions.

I am worried my brain is mushed from desperately seeking 3D that I can't tell an auto-conversion. Good grief I hope not. My Dune and Cargo auto converts are terrible. My Space Dogs early conversion is about the lowest end conversion I can watch. I try really hard not to buy auto converts. But this bonus movie I can watch and nothing seems out of place or screams auto-convert like I would expect but maybe I am losing it.

Got a nice haul from the Post today! Pic is cut off but the one of the right also has 3D.

Some autoconversions are better than others! I think it's very unlikely that something as obscure as Golden Winter would have had someone make an effort manually converting it only for it to be buried as a bonus film, but who knows.

Nice! I paired my Toto import with a 3D tour of the Vatican Museum but still waiting on it to arrive. I didn't see that Florence disc before - let us know how it is. Thanks!

I'm again watching 300 rise of the Spartans. Excellent 3D wilt a typical story. Excellent dts-hd master audio.

Tried to watch Shaolin Bootcamp last night. Very frustrating experience. Played endless menu montage loop on my Oppo with no menu writing of any type. Same thing on region free LG with a menu scene montage but no writing or menu options. Was able to access a menu through the player. Advanced it forward one by one and kept getting the endless montage. Finally got to 4, and the movie actually started. Geez!

Really great movie once it started playing. IMAX doc of Jason Lee visiting a Shaolin temple and going through martial arts training with other students and disciples. Beautiful movie and excellent 3D with depth, layering, some popouts. GREAT 3D! Would even say demo worthy.

UNTIL 2/3 into the movie and it started repetitively freezing. Disc looked cherry, cleaned it quickly anyway, same result. Freaking unlucky. Highly recommend this movie in general, but dont know if its just a bad disc or I just need to give it an ultra clean. Have no idea was is up with the menu not loading. So saddened...

I pre-ordered WW1984 3D from WowHD. No notification of dispatch (it was apparently released yesterday) and the website is now showing the item as 'out of stock'. I contacted them yesterday to ask for an update but no response yet. Beginning to regret ordering it from there but hopefully it will be OK.

Last night I watched Tai Chi Hero. I enjoyed it quite a bit, and thought the 3D was an improvement on the first part (Tai Chi 0). It's still not a particularly good conversion and there are many errors, but I didn't find it quite as poor as the first part (maybe just because my expectations were lowered). I do remember, though, that the first part had quite obvious conversion errors in pretty much every scene and I didn't feel that to be the case here. I am quite surprised that there would be that much of a difference, though, as I understand the two films were shot back-to-back so I would have thought the conversions would have been done at the same time. Maybe I am imagining it and part 1 wasn't quite as bad as I remembered, but at the time I thought it was the worst conversion I had seen since Clash of the Titans.

Your description sounds like the disc might be a bootleg copy.

Just put my "IMAX Shaolin Bootcamp" Blu-ray 3D in my Oppo to check and refresh my memory and my LG E6 went into immediate 3D mode, the 3D Continental Hub logo first appeared and then the menu. I then pressed play and the movie started.

Watched WW84. Liked the movie better this time. The 3D was pretty good. The opening full screen, 3D was worth the price of admission. No Atmos but neural X up mix was pretty good. Recommended.

I got it wrapped from jpc.de so hopefully not a bootleg. I will contact them to see if they can do anything, though unfortunately this is more than 30 days out from me getting it. Thank you for the info!
