How does one identify the fixed version?

If you buy directly through Amazon, you'll get the corrected version I would assume.
The old one was pulled and was unavailable for half a year almost.

2nd cap looks stretched quite a bit. How does the DVD compare to that?

I might get the DVD set and splice in the English episode titles to the German Blu release and create a menu with the episodes in English, just for fun (and ease of use!)

Just wish Amazon Germany would hurry up and get more back in stock so i can order it!

If you have the UK or Australian DVD release, it sure is possible to do that even losslessly, since both the DVDs and this BD set are encoded with MPEG-2. If it's worth the trouble though, that's the question... The MMPR PAL Masters were converted from 60i->50i and as such have severe frame blending.
Despite it's problems, the US MMPR set is still the best release so far.

I also noticed that this set hasn't been available for a long time in several German stores. It was a limited release to begin with, so I wonder if Amazon will ever get more in stock.

How much of a step up in quality over Shout factory is this release? Does it come with the missing audio for some of the episodes Like ‘Island of illusion’ and do you know if the menu episode names are in english?
