The On Location feature is just the Horror’s Hallowed Grounds thing, isn’t it?

It’s a shame we have to keep that 2007 disc for the commentary. Also, Disc 3 is no specified as the color timing from the 2007 disc. I wonder if it is the exact same transfer, or the new remaster with different color timing?

Nope. It's an old featurette from 2003 with interviews with Debra Hill and PJ Soles.

I believe it's different. In the 15 disc box set there are 2 horror's hallowed grounds on the bonus disc (the pilot and the fan edition) and the 'on location' featurette is on the H1 disc

I just skimmed it on YouTube and remembered what it was. I can live without it. Keeping the 2007 disc for the commentary, though.

Yeah I'm guessing a lot of people have the 2007 disc as part of the box set, so I suppose it's not a big deal. I really would like to have dumped the H4 DVD finally though.

I might have to get a copy of that H4 DVD. I used to have it but got rid of most of my Halloween DVDs after getting the 15-disc boxset, not realizing the McElroy commentary wasn’t included in it.

Yeah it's worth having imo as it's pretty good, so I guess that DVD will remain in my possession. The discussion panel is alright too.

It’s cool that the TV cut is included, and that it’s in 1.33:1. I never expected it to be officially released on purpose (as opposed to that old Media VHS release that mistakenly had the TV cut).

Everything about these releases sound wonderful, I'd say the only two things missing would be a booklet for each of the movie (a la Creepshow) and the original poster art on the slipbox instead of those horrendous new covers. So close to perfection! I'll be torn between keeping the slipbox on or simply removing them and putting the reversible cover on by themselves.
I've never seen the tv cut, so i'm really curious about it. I might do a double feature for Halloween with Halloween 2, to get the full 1981 experience.
