I'm psyched. Easily one of my all-time favorite films.

I absolutely hate that they've done away with the original artwork and replaced it with another of the typical bad-photoshopped-floating-heads picture. But it won't keep me from purchasing it.

I feel your pain. I hate those type of covers, too. They make the films look cheap, like like they were made for cable TV. (Basic cable too; no fancy HBO here.)

The DVD and BD industry desperately needs someone like Saul Bass to design their covers.

Craziest thing right here...Die-hard Denzel Washington Fan here (acting, of course!!!)...Love the history of the Civil War (I'm actually heading out to Gettysburg this weekend)...Love some of Zwicks movies (Blood Diamond, The Siege, The Last Samurai, Courage Under Fire to name a few....but NEVER seen GLORY... Is there something wrong there? lol ...I AM buying it though....I hope its as good as everyone says but with all these pluses on the movies side....what can possibly go wrong in the movie that I won't like....lol...can't wait!!!!

Good luck with Gettysburg. There's a lot to see. Be sure to see Ike's home. It's pretty interesting. They recently built a brand new visitor's center/museum. It's a good time but it's worth staying the weekend since there's so much to see.

Just watched this last night and I'm so glad they didn't let loose the DNR demons. I originally saw this in the theaters when it was released and it instant rose to the top of my favorite movies list. The picture quality is exactly how I imagined it would be, there is a good layer of grain in it so folks should not be expecting a slick image. Watched it late in the night so couldn't turn up the volume.

watched it last night...man I love this movie. Sound was fabulous. To the guy who hasnt seen it...there is no way you will not love this movie! When I first saw glory I actually shed a tear when denzel was getting whipped. (to date the only time I ever cried during a movie)
