I already checked out the sub situation today.

There was a problem with some AFO discs, but the problem was corrected and should not come up with current copies in the stores. Owners of the version where the subs don't come up can call our customer service number and have the disc exchanged at no cost.

I think someone over the Paramount Home Entertainment PR/Marketing Dept is watching this thread and "effing" with me since late last year as far as Braveheart is concerned.

The Paramount Mkt'ing Dept is probably all in someone's office gathered around a monitor of Blu-Ray.com laughing. "Ok, let's mess with this guy (and Penton) over on BD.com one more time. Tell the retailers not to take pre-orders for that date. We haven't officially announced it yet."



It's coming. So, what's the next big one for me to obsess over...

I called them, I have to send my old disc in (a la Starship Troopers/Fifth Element)...they estimate 3-5 weeks.

My point to all this? Well, after finding out those two shows were filmed with the RedOne, I remembered my opinion (as well as WickyWoo's) on the .mov file you posted some time ago with the RedOne comparison... and I started to laugh!

P.S.: If you're at work, never try to GUESS what RedOne's website address is!

Funny you should mention Southland. I was just telling my friend I thought it was the best looking HD show by far before I even posted the question. I wasn't even aware they're using this for tv yet. Best I've seen next to the National Geographic channel.
