Just because the character is elderly in the comics, doesn't mean she's gonna be elderly in whatever film adaptation Sony eventually shit out (and I still doubt this will ever come to fruition). That's why Theron and Adams were being considered.

I mean, I could see them positioning her character to be Sony's own Doctor Strange-type figure. Then they'd use her for when their movies would call for multiverse shenanigans and stuff like that - and without having to deal too much with Marvel Studios, the wider MCU or the actual Doctor Strange.
