Here is my little penthouse condo theater. I don't have a lot of room or a big budget, but I enjoy the setup that I have. I am always looking to upgrade something.

My home theater features a 52" Toshiba Regza LCD 120 Hz display (52XV540U) with Onkyo TX-SR507 5.1 Receiver. The Speaker Company's P6-PR 6.5" 2-way Bookshelf Speakers are my Fronts, with an TSC RC1 Center Channel speaker. The surrounds are TSC IW-6 inwall speakers with an Onkyo SKW-520 Powered Subwoofer. Media sources are an Oppo BDP-83 Blu-ray player and Cisco HD DVR. All controlled by a Harmony 880 remote.

IKEA Bonde double cabinets each with optional glass door and two cd drawers. Bonde TV stand with media drawer. IKEA shelf behind the display holding the center channel speaker.

Just went from 6.1 to 5.1, and installed these TSC IW-6 speakers from The Speaker Company. The sound quality has improved greatly. They are perfect for my particular needs and setup.

Added the James Bond touch to my Harmony 880

Very nice and clean. I guess you live close to water? I see quite a collection of lighthouses. The room does look like it has got a great view. That must be cool to watch a movie at night in there. Just a quick question, but it looks like you have a 6.1 set-up, right? Just trying to figure out your surround speakers.....

Thanks for the compliment! I used to live much closer to the water, but I have always had an interest in lighthouses. I currently live in Alexandria, VA. Yes. It's a 6.1 HTIB. I want to upgrade my receiver to one that decodes the high def audio formats, and go to 5.1 with inwall surrounds. I just replaced the front L&R speakers with P6-PR 6.5" 2-way Bookshelf Speakers from The Speaker Company. They were a huge improvement. I moved one of my old fronts to the center channel. Recalibrated the setup, now it sounds much better (less muddy). I can't really have a booming system in the condo, but clarity is always nice to have.

Nice setup too. Really bright room and the red couch compliments the white scheme perfectly.

Well, you can always ask what is best for your set-up in the Receiver Thread. You'll get plenty of help there. And great AQ is not about how loud you can get it anyway. It's about the clarity and quality of the sound, and with a better receiver, you'll notcie even more improvement with your set-up.

Very nice set-up. I like your collection and how you took a picture of your movies on the shelves. You can print them and have a movie catalogue to browse and pick the movie you want to see without even getting up from your seat.

Hi, I'm looking to buy the same TV stand from someone. Can you please let me know the height of the top drawers? It fit your receiver but I guess inorder to do that you did not install the doors? My receiver is just under 6 inches and I'm not sure if it will fit in there.

You are correct that I don't have the door on it. I wanted to keep as much space open as possible for the heat to escape.

I am at work now, but the measurements of my receiver are:
(W x H x D): 17-1/8" x 5-7/8" x 14-13/16".

What model of receiver do you have?
