Miami Connection (1987) 4K UHD coming from Vinegar Syndrome

I do hope we get some more new restorations of "so bad it's good" movies. Most blu-rays we have of these type of films aren't that good. The best one so far is probably Manos: The Hand of Fate.

Since Troll 2 is an MGM title in the US, do you think Kino may actually be the ones to attempt that? Maybe Scream Factory if they still have the rights after their double feature.

On a related note, a "proto Miami Connection" that MGM owns is Richard Park's LA Streetfighters / Ninja Turf, which has a lot of the same staples as MC, but with a smidge less chaotic pacing, and better fights (mainly thanks to Phillip Rhee, James Lew, and star Jun Chong)... but with nearly as bad acting, LOL. Here's hoping Kino attempts that as well, and slather "from the director of Miami Connection" on it.

I do think that if Troll 2 was to get a UHD, it'd be either Kino or Shout behind it. Eureka! released that double feature here a few years ago, so presumably they still hold the UK rights, but they haven't gone 4K yet.

I'd be shocked if it doesn't get a 4K at this rate... As for other "so bad it's good" films, The Room is rumored to have a 4K in the future, but Birdemic barely clears HD status
