The worst doctor, the worst companions, the worst stories and scripts. The whole thing was just god awful.

It might even be worse than STD and Picard, which is saying something.

Sometimes I think they are. Life is too short to waste on what you don't enjoy.

It has to be enjoyable for them. Or maybe they think they are upsetting others and get some prize.

What's enjoyable is seeing these rubbish shows getting cancelled.

Generally people put rubbish outside so it is taken away. They do not go check on it later to make sure it is still rubbish.

So if you only watch an episode or two you get knocked because obviously you don't know what you're talking about and shouldn't comment at all. If you watch them all you get knocked for being a hate-watcher. Got it.

"There you go, bail out if it is not entertaining you." Looking at the ratings, the public has taken that advice to heart. Oh, and Twitter's an echo chamber, not evidence, duh.

I did. Every one. I'm a completest and watch, read and listen to everything Who (except comics). This was the pits. And I disagree. It didn't improve, it got worse, or the same lousy writing, and characters I didn't care about. Had I not been a completest and lifelong Whovian, I would have turned off .

Do you know how TV ratings work?

A rating is the percentage of a specific population that watched or listened to a piece of content or ad.

I put very little faith in them, because they are not accurate at all.

This is part of the reason why people complaining about content rarely win. You know what is general more important than Nielsen? Google Analytics. The more you discuss, search for and watch videos on. The more valuable data the content creates get. You know what stops that indifference.

And there it is, the "you can't trust the ratings" excuse. Funny that nobody said that during Tennant/Smith when the ratings were sky-high. On the other Who thread there was a guy, DalekBuster or DimBulb or somesuch who also used that excuse. So I tried a different tack and brought up the Audience Appreciation score which was also in the crapper. And he came back with something like "you can't trust that, they only ask brainwashed right-wing zombies, not real people!" I guess it's all just one big conspiracy, right?

If you want to trust the ratings feel free. I am just presenting facts on how ratings work. As it says in the article polls work the same way, which can also be skewed.

Remember, I have watched every Chibnall episode and special, so I can have an opinion. It’s not like I watched two episodes and called it horrible, you know?

In that case you hate watched it.

The Happiness Patrol does not condone negative opinions.

There is no "Happiness Patrol," most of us are happy with 80-90% of all the stuff we watch because at some point, if a franchise or show really isn't doing it for us, we'll switch to watching other stuff that DOES make us happy.
