I was talking about this with a friend not long ago. It seems that, since Amazon is basically world-wide, it'd make sense for them to license their MGM titles in as much territory as they can to maximize profits. I'd say it's highly likely that we'll see a bunch of MGM titles popping up at various UK labels / studios soon enough.
