Really wish Bloodsport would get a new, special edition release.

Timecop is freaking awesome but the blu-ray is so ridiculously black crushed that I still watch my DVD. Needs a remaster pronto.

I like Bloodsport & TimeCop and want both on their own Blu’s or better yet, 4K!

Seriously, Bloodsport deserves a royal treatment release loaded with bonus content.

Would love a commentary track from Sheldon Lettich and Donald Gibb.

Bloodsport is way overdue for a release by a boutique label. I know it's a WB title, but it's not like some of the indies don't have a good relationship with Warners. Gimme Bloodsport!

So, let's pretend that a guy is fan of action movies & thrillers but hasn't actually watched an entire Van Damme movie before. What are your top 3 Van Damme movies that you would recommend to a newbie?

I’m in agreement with Dr. Herbert West on the top 3
If you turn out to be a J.C.V.D. Fan here is a list of his best films in alphabetical order: Bloodsport, Cyborg, Death Warrant, Double Impact, Hard Target, Kickboxer, Maximum Risk, the Quest, Universal Soldier, Replicant, and Time Cop… the rest are just okay… that commercial where he does the splits between 2 moving Semi Trucks is also amazing.

No love for Sudden Death? Also “In Hell” is an above average B movie . “JCVD” is amazing. Until Death and Wake of Death are solid.

Surprised by the lack of Lionheart.

Bloodsport
Kickboxer
Lionheart
Death Warrant

In He'll is pretty good.

Sudden Death was good like his film Legionnaire but I personally don’t consider them classic Van Damme films, he takes an honest run at Straight Acting with American style action and little to no martial arts fighting from what I recall. He did excellent in those though, I see In Hell as falling into that category as well. I’ll have to check the other two out as I don’t recall those since my first viewing

(Also I threw in universal soldier out of alphabetical order lol, guess I need to go back to school )

The Shepherd: Border Patrol is Van Dammes most underrated film. He has a pet bunny that he carries in a cage while he kicks people in the face, it’s incredibly fun. I still can’t believe it’s his only film not on Blu-ray. It’s also his greatest DTV film and his last truly great flick reminiscent of his studio films.
