Shit, I’d watch Mickey Rourke make toast, and be first in line for the UHD. Too bad some of his brains fell out when he decided to be a boxer for a while.

Is the German 4k uhd truly uncut?

And if so, is the German 4k the only uncut 4k uhd to date, prior to this Lionsgate USA announcement?

My understanding is that the non-German releases have the few seconds of cock-fighting removed. It is there in the German release.

Thank you, this was my understanding as well. Given one's druthers, no one should ever be allowed to cut back on your cock footage, effectively shortening it.

The German and French releases are identical disc-wise, I believe. They lack English subtitles, though, which for me would be a reason to replace them if this one is uncut and includes English subs.

I think his follow-up to 'THE WRESTLER' (called 'KILLSHOT' and co-starring Diane Lane, Tom Jane, Joe Gordon-Levitt, and Rosario Dawson) was Weinsteined. I.e. The Weinstein Company shelved it and barely released it. Shame is was a decent thriller... far better than stuff that does get released.

I've heard for many years that there's several deleted scenes for this film.

DVD Compare says that the German Kinowelt Home Entertainment [2010 Release] has (4:26) of Deleted Scenes, can anyone confirm this? Or is it a misprint?

I don’t know but I think it’s unlikely. Dvdcompare are unreliable. I sought out a French DVD of Scent Of A Woman because dvdcompare told me it had a director’s commentary. Did it f@#k.

The only evidence I’ve found of Angel Heart’s deleted scenes are photos of them which can be easily Googled. Some really nasty shots of a beheaded Winesap, the burned corpse of Harry’s journalist sex-friend with the big naturals, and Harry chilling after writing something on the wall in Toots’ dick-blood.

IMDB claims a TV version reinstated a few deleted flashbacks but I can’t find them anywhere.

If anyone has info on Angel Heart’s deleted scenes I’d also be fascinated to know…

It has 4 scenes.

The first one seems identical with the theatrical, so not sure why they included it.
The other 3 are little differently edited and basically shorter than the theatrical (i.e. no new footage in them).

I have no idea what that was all about.

I wish Lionsgate would finally put out a regular edition of this!
