Just picked up Return if the Living dead 2 and now I’m jonesing for part 1. Scream needs to reprint this or come out with a 4K soon.

No way ROTLD doesn't make it to 4K unless some legal garbage comes up. A UHD would sell like hotcakes so you'd think something would've happened by now, though.

Didn't Scream Factory used to shrinkwrap all their new slipcovers? I just pulled Alone in the Dark out of my mailbox - no shrinkwrap and it looked liked someone hid it in his a** for years like Christopher Walken in Pulp Fiction.

They did shrinkwrap slips for awhile, but stopped about 2 years ago, it's been sporadic if they do on any newer titles.

Cursed recently came with the slipcover shrink wrapped.

"there is of course a risk of receiving some scratched discs" ...More like bet your life on it guarantee! I've never had a problem replacing scratched disc but damn if it isn't a pain in the ass, and the replacements these days are just as likely to be scratched as the originals.

I am still pondering whether to order the Universal Horror Collections from Hamilton Books. Given the amount of trouble there seems to be with the mexi-cali pressing plant, there is of course a risk of receiving some scratched discs.

As I have to order through a re-shipper, it becomes a huge hassle, if Scream/ Shout no longer will replace bad discs not bought from them. It would probably mean that I would have to return the whole thing to Hamilton for an exchange instead (with all the issues with customs and taxes that will include).

Before, in the very few instances there have been a similar issue, I have always been able to write to Scream, include my proof of purchase, and then they have sent a replacement disc to my re-shipper's address without any problems. That way I could just include the replacement disc the next time I consolidated a package at my re-shipper.

Yeah this one really surprises me as I agree it should have been a regular release. I'd like to place an order, but dropping $35 on a single shout title during a weekend of other sales doesn't sound all that appealing at the moment.

Shocked this wasn’t a regular release, especially with a new scan… I wouldn’t be surprised if this thing is being scalped for $100+ within a month or two.

Right! I think this will sell out quickly. So if it's not released as regular version of more than 1,500 copies, eBay sellers will have a field day!

I expect it will sell through fairly quickly, though it is worth remembering that there's already a Blu-ray release from Hen's Tooth, plus the more stacked UK edition from Second Sight. Either may be enough to satisfy many people.

Woo hoo, just the motivation I needed to finally grab Watchers 2. Never seen Ninth Configuration but it has been on my radar for awhile so I'm confident with it as a blind buy.

Hopefully this means that Scream can also get (or may have already gotten) The Company of Wolves.
