Thanks very much for posting a link to the trailer. I hadn't even heard about this previously but I have long wanted to see a good movie made about the Spartans. They were one of my favorite topics in World History class in high school. The overall look of the film looks weird though, especially the sky.

NYG, Any idea if the HBO series "ROME" will be available in Blu-Ray or HD-DVD? I'd but it in a minute!!!

It should come out on both formats being that HBO is part of Warner.

That said, I haven't seen this show yet. Desperately want to though. A buddy of mine just gave me a Best Buy freebie disc that's got an episode of it included so I'll be watching that this weekend. I've heard great things about the show itself and Rome is a favorite history topic of mine.

Jim I haven't seen Rome yet so it'd be a blind buy but I love the period and thus I cannot wait for HBO to get on the horn and get me Rome and Band of Brothers. Bring it.

The 300 trailer was very interesting. Man what impressionistic video it certainly is going to look very unique for a film. What a intriquing view into two distinct Greek cultures. The Athenians and Spartans were diametrically opposed culturally in many ways but when joined were very formidable.

I'll be in the Theatre to watch this if it hits Seattle

300 is made by the same people who did Sin City, so it will be a little weird i'm sure.
