Day One for me, if real. The ancient BD is one of my last "must-upgrade-cuz-it's-almost-unwatchable" titles left on my shelf.

Man this pic blew me away when I first saw it. Saw it at the Aquarius Theater in Palo Alto, CA in 1992, and it was like being struck by lightning. I was 21 years old and had been raised on a steady diet of Spielberg and Carpenter and 80's blockbusters; hadn't seen any Woo or Melville yet... and wow, it was like Tarantino kicked the door wide open. Still my fave Tarantino flick by a mile -- and I saw Pulp Fiction opening night at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood, which was AMAZING, don't get me wrong... but it was NOTHING like my first screening of Reservoir Dogs at that old, crumbling Aquarius art-house.

My uncle and aunt were customers of Video Archives when QT was working there as an employee, they said he was always at the counter enthusiastically watching older 1970's movies and working on his screenplay that he told customers he was doing, which turned out to be Reservoir Dogs. I am looking forward to the eventual 4K release.

I'm not a fan of his either, but I will say I do believe he has a contact either with BB or someone who works with lionsgate. He also got Ran correct.

He's been getting these BB lionsgate steelbooks correct. He actually claimed this release in another twitter post several months ago. Now with a release month this time.

Now I'm going to take a shower I feel dirty as hell.
