Interesting casting, and it could work really well, it depends entirely on her acting chops, but she could really look the part at least

Love the Addams Family but this just seems like an odd pointless choice.

Would much rather have that stop-motion Addams movie from Burton instead. He really needs to make another stop-motion flick and the Addams Family is so ripe for that.

As for the casting of Wednesday? Totally the wrong look for Wednesday. Too attractive and not odd-looking enough

I would have loved to have gotten a stop motion film from either Burton or Laika, would have been amazing but alas it wasn't meant to be.

I am a big Tim Burton fan so I'll probably watch this. Though them casting Emma Roberts as Wednesday make me wonder if they aren't just chasing after a vehicle for someone's 10 minutes of fame.

That's not Emma Roberts from Scream 4, it's Jenna Ortega from Scream '22.

Still not sold on the whole cliche "hidden secrets in small university" plot, but damn some of those visuals were Tim's best in a long time and pure Burton.

I'm sold.

I feel like Tim Burton is the director equivalent of a classic rock band that just goes on tour and plays the hits rather than make new albums. Like, obviously this is a new production, but it's clearly just regurgitating all the tropes and styles of Burton's previous work, and he's been in this mode for over a decade now. I guess I'd rather have that than no new Burton stuff at all, but I don't think it's a coincidence that Big Eyes was his best work in a long while and it's the closest he's come to breaking out of his comfort zone.

Not really his fault if these are the only things the studios are willing to offer him / finance.

Tim Burton has always been one of my favorite directors. It's good to finally see something new out of him. If what I've read about Beetlejuice 2 is true, it will be gratifying to see him tackle the Neitherworld.

This looks great and I for one cannot wait to see it. This may be the best Wednesday Addams yet.
