Yet another Trek steel I'm not feeling the art for. The standard edition adventure continues...

Paramount hasn't released any tv shows in 4k, so this will just be Blu. But, if they eventually do release one I'm 4K I can certainly see it being Trek.

Halo is one they're doing in 4K, but that's definitely an outlier.

Yeah, this is a downgrade to be in 1080p when the images were pretty awesome in 4k streaming. They are sincerely doing an injustice to this release.

As much as I like the show, $51 is a bit steep. I can watch the show already on Paramount, so basically paying $50 bucks just for the steel seems a bit extreme.

May pick it up if it goes down a bit. Maybe $35 would be more palatable.

I just checked my purchase history on Trek Steelbooks and all of them (minus Discovery Season 1) dropped to about $35-$40 by release.

I want to buy this but there's no way I'm buying it in 1080p when the show streams in 4K. I don't understand why Paramount is doing this. It's 2022.

There's no way we're releasing new and popular content on physical media when we can force people to pay for our streaming service to see it. We don't understand why Paramount is doing this. It's 2022. - Disney

Be glad we are getting physical releases, period.

If Paramount didn’t have to beg for subscribers, they wouldn’t, either. They probably need the money from physical releases and TV showings.

Same. I love physical media and want to support it, but I can't justify throwing money at something that will be inferior to what I can watch on CBS All Access.
