Europe to get standard mobile phone charger: EU

Most of the US companies agreed to switch to a universal charger by 2012, with the notable exception of Apple, which will stick with their current charger.

One thing I find interesting is that the EU companies chose micro-USB as the standard. I know my Motorola and Blackberry use mini-USB, so I don't know if they use micro overseas and mini here or if they plan to switch to micro in the US.
