They are taking their sweet time to announce it. Elemental, Little Mermaid, and Guardians of the Galaxy 3 all had announcements by this point. Elemental came out after Dial of Destiny. They've announced the digital releases, so where is the disc announcement? That's why it's not clear to me there will even be a disc.

They may be trying to think of how best to sell it. A lot of people will blind buy it with any bad reviews just to maintain a complete collection.

"A new day will dawn for those who stand long and the forests will echo with laughter" - Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven

Clearly..., this lyric was a reference to people who despite all odds enjoy 3D movies. 3D has died over and over and many lovely things that support 3D have died along with it. 3D has been very hard to sell.

The most of us do have 2 eyes though and a niche gizmo called the iPhone 15 is going to put 3D video cameras into millions of pockets soon. Will these young people record and publish endless 3D video? absolutely! All the videos made by people who don't know how to attend a concert will soon be in 3D !

3D is about to make a comeback like never before.

Quoted From 9to5Mac

"For those who missed it, spatial video is Apple's name for what is essentially 3D video. The iPhone 15 Pro is able to record spatial videos natively by combining video captured by the sensors of the Main and Ultra Wide cameras, which results in something akin to stereoscopic video.

This 3D video can then be played back using Apple's "spatial computing" Vision Pro headset when it's released early next year, allowing users to relive these memories in a fully immersive way. Apple didn't say, but presumably the iPhone 15 Pro can also capture spatial photo stills using similar camera processing."

I have a small update:

[Show spoiler]I now have an appointment to see a transplant cardiologist in about a month and a half. At least I get the opportunity to discuss my case in person.

The funny part is that his name, I kid you not, is Dr. Vader. I have six weeks to get all of the Star Wars jokes out of my system before I see him; he has to have heard them all.

Bewitched was the same way; the first season of it was also broadcast in black & white.

I am not generally a fan of B&W TV shows or movies getting crayons applied to them, but they did a good job colorizing the first season of Bewitched. Of course, the did have the other 7 seasons that were broadcast in color to use as a reference.

I have 3 shirts without a shark on them.

I have a similar shirt to this but mine is better in my opinion. I will try to get a picture of it.

it fluctuates because different people buy different6 stuff on different weeks.

the problem is people have been nice enough to tell you exactly how much a
very limited run single job costs, but you dismiss it for your fictitious BOM that magically is never enough to cover the price no matter what we pay to buy it.

Streaming video "noise" reduction - what's the latest?

AFAIK, the reality of streaming is that the video data rate is set as low as the streaming cos. think they can get away with.

My Sony Blu-ray player has 2 video NR systems (block noise and mosquito noise - 2 levels of NR for each).

I just have (HBO)max free with my AT&T Fiber Internet, I don't believe the Firefox browser I use has any video NR options.

Do any of the streaming services offer decoders (software or hardware) with any forms of video NR?

Not that I know of.

It's like that old expression "You can't polish streaming". Best to take it as is and process it as little as possible in my opinion.

Find a better source like disc if it's something you become interested in.

Not close to 80, and I use CinemaParadiso in the UK. In my opinion the preferred way to watch films I haven't seen (except the cinema) which I don't want to blind buy. Can rent 4k Blu Rays, can see bonus features, and can choose from 100k titles. And none of the scrolling nonsense: I put what I want on my list and don't have to spend ages deciding what to see.
