Yes, "Lawmen" is intended to be an Anthology series that covers various lawmen, of The Old West. Initially, it was glued on to the Yellowstone universe, but the network obviously decided to separate it from Yellowstone, so there will be no references or inferences to the Yellowstone continuity and characters. Taylor Sheridan has very little to do with it, beyond some executive decisions like casting, but that might change in future productions, if there are additional productions after the Yellowstone stuff comes to an end.
