Maybe it wasn't confirmed to be in 3D as it is now and the forum has been having its fair share of 3D movies that didn't happen.

There's also a lot less excitement for titles that are doomed to be dumped out onto the AVP with no 3D Blu-ray release.

Indeed, it's utterly sad that they've managed to convert 3D films into a platform exclusive, in a sense. Hating this shift in business strategy of treating things as "content", as opposed to approaching them as cinema / art. They're literally pissing an entire dimension away owing to business decisions, and this is no better than the archaic practice of "vaulting" titles.
