I don't know why I didn't think about it at the time, but I probably should have just Alt+F4 out of the game lol.

Even as a higher level player (668 now) I avoid pvp and still occasionally server hop if someone’s giving me a hard time…but it’s pretty rare and the community is USUALLY pretty helpful, especially to newcomers.

Isn't there a penalty for doing that? I don't remember.

I only played the game for a couple of months when it released. The community was still young and I rarely saw other players when roaming about. I remember encountering a turret for the first time, and out of habit (from FO4) I shot at it. Sure enough it was someone's base and I became wanted lol. Nobody around or showed up to claim the bounty on me.

I don’t think there’s any sort of penalty. I don’t hop often, but there were definitely times when daily challenges involved a specific public event and one event from three would start hourly…I would hop until I found a server with it happening.

Feel like the “wanted” status is triggered by accident more often than not…if I get it, I wander around until I find someone to kill me.

Ah, that's right. I remember server hopping now for the public events. No penalty that I can remember.

I don't recall how I lost the wanted status. I just remember stashing some goodies and wandering around waiting forever for someone to collect. I think I even exited and came back and was still wanted. Not sure how I got out of it. I read in the early days after release it took 2 in-game weeks or something for it to clear on its own, but not sure if that's true and if that's how it ended.

It's on version 1.74 now. There were some issues with crashing last week. This new update fixes that.

Season 12 starts a week from today (2/28) and the Fasnacht event will run for 1 more week until then. Dude, the drop rate for the rare Fasnacht masks is brutal...

A nice surprise with the latest update (Once in a Blue Moon) is that the game is now running at 60 fps on PS5. It totally feels different and took me some time to adjust but this is a welcome change.

Sadly, it looks like the Atlantic City Expedition won't be available until 2024, making for a potential long stint without any sizeable updates until next year.

Nope...free update. It looks like they will be working on more map expansions going forward.
