I heard to keep with the spirit of the movie, when customers purchase the Joker 2 steelbook or regular edition they shall get no disc…just a hand drawn middle finger and a p.s. love Todd

Easy pass. This was absolutely terrible. I'm glad that I've been able to curb my urge to be a completionist. So even though I still really like the first movie, I won't be adding this trash to my collection ever.

It will be on streaming very soon. I’d say save your money now and watch it then. If you end up liking it buy it.

I pre-ordered this. However, it says it's won't come until Dec 23, so the next Monday.
I can reorder and get release day delivery but now it's $10 than it was when I ordered it (and no delivery date was estimated yet). Amazon used to let you change your payment method and if you did that it wold recalibrate your release date. But they don't let you do that anymore. So I have to do with release day or wait a week and save $10. |

[Show spoiler] . Even though this is not a traditional Joker story, I am way too big of a Batman way and especially a Harley fan that a blind buy was not even a question. And I think this turned out pretty well. Phoenix had some really great scenes, though I'm not too big on his overall take on the Joker. Gaga killed it though as Harley. She was magnetic on screen. Definitely thought she was better here than in ASIB. It took a while to figure out that [Show spoiler] I was also exhausted and fell asleep a few times as I usually do in movies I watch on Tuesdays and a lot of the middle 1/3 I have a really hazy memory so that's another reason to rewatch. Though I liked this I can see why many batman fans might not (or the first one) and fans of the first may not like this, since Joker is locked up for most of the movie. [Show spoiler] Either way I would recommend a watch but maybe not a blind buy unless you're a big fan of the first one.The movie is good and the UHD is incredible. It's a Dolby Vision picture and it is reference. Joker was pretty good too, this is at least as good as that. Total visual candy the whole way through and especially [Show spoiler] I watched that twice, the picture is so clear and the sound is incredible. very surreal and immersive, and I loved how it was muted for so long and slowly came back. That scene came out of nowhere and it's amazing. [Show spoiler] I used headphones for the sound and it's pretty good the whole way but that's scene it's the most important. There's unfortunately no blu-ray so all specials are on the UHD. I only had time to watch the 40 minute behind the scenes feature (1080 SDR) so far. This was really good and goes over a lot of their motivations in making the movie and how they did some key scenes, lots of interviews with the director and Phoenix and Gaga. Looks like there's a handful of 5-10 minute other specials and I'll get to them Saturday probably. So if you liked the movie this is a great UHD. And if you do blind buy you definitely won't be disappointed with the presentation!

I think I prefer a locked aspect ratio for home video personally. The constant shifting pulls you out of the story when its on a small screen you can see all the edges of. I even found it a little distracting in IMAX where it looked gorgeous (and huge). I was still always aware when they shifted ratios.

I don’t trust that it’s as bad as all the naysayers because people love to hop on the bandwagon of hate when something underperforms. But it does seem like it’s not a safe blind buy, so I want to see it first when it hits Max.
