Thanks for the information, Robert. I personally prefer the more expensive JVC and Sony LCOS projectors that you also offer online and in your store. But its good to have a selection of projectors to choose from and someone on a tight budget the AWOL is a bargain for someone looking for a entry level projector. One day in the years to come AWOL might move beyond entry level projectors and also offer medium level projectors and high-end projectors.

So they are different categories of projection technologies for different use-cases. UST are designed to be used in dedicated theaters and multi purpose rooms that have ambient light. Long throw projectors are best in dedicated light controlled rooms.

I've been impressed with the picture quality (and reviews) of this PJ. However, I decided to purchase a Hisense PL1 instead, mainly because of the warranty aspect. I was a bit hesitant about buying from less-known online shops where the AWOL projector is sold in Australia.

I very much like Hisense's PL1 UST projector. We have the PL1 on display in our suite of 16 Cinema Demo rooms.

The PL1 is Hisense's entry level UST projector, but again a very excellent high performance UST projector and best choice in it's price category.
