I tried watching Despicable Me 4 which I previously purchased on my Pixel 5 and it did come up with 2 pictures side by side so I assume that will work. Now I just need a Roku. Not sure if my TV can handle that kind of 3D though (LG 2016) but the Rokus seem cheap might be worth chancing it. |

Whether mirroring directly to the TV or to the Roku, I use the 3D button on my remote to change side-by-side into true 3D. |

I note the following prices for 2024 Universal 2D/3D bundles:
Wicked, $19.99 The Wild Robot, $19.99 Migration, $14.99 The question is, Can we expect Wicked to drop to $14.99 any time soon? Or does Universal believe that, as a live-action musical, it will 'forever' (a year or more) deserve the higher price? |

Note that this bundle includes only HDX for both 2D and 3D versions. The 2D version is available in 4K UHD separately for $19.99. |

Definitely tempted to purchase on Fandango but may wait for the potential disc.
Wicked had decent 3D that added to alot of scenes, but it obviously could not hold a candle to the true native 3D wonders of another Oz film: Oz The Great & Powerful. Sam Raimi and Peter Deming did wonders with the 3D in that film: imo it is one of the best ever native 3D films ever shot. Not only are the 3D visual exquiste, but the cinematography doesn't look video-y and is quite cinematic, unlike alot of 3D lens films of the time. Regardless, I cannot wait to pump up the color on my TV for Wicked. Loved the movie but the subdued color timing is diabolical! |
