Default What are you watching tonight?

Have done a thread search in this sub-forum and couldn't find an existing thread in UK TV Shows. A post doesn't have to be limited to one TV series only (eg: What was the last TV show you watched?) or to movie and TV series artwork, as well as thumbnail artwork. Also, a watchlist can include North American TV series for example that are shown on UK TV.

*****

Watching tonight: (posting later than normal)

- a new edition of documentary series Murder: Suspect No.1 (feature-length), the concluding part of a two-part edition

- a season 5 edition of documentary series Forensic Factor

- a new edition of true crime series A Secret to Die For ("Deadly Host") and The Real Manhunter

- and an edition of true crime documentary series Murder Comes to Town (the season 4 premiere "Roses Are Red, Murder is Too").

Watching tonight: (posting a bit later than normal)

- a season 5 edition of documentary series Forensic Factor ("Smiley Face Killer")

- two new editions of true crime series Signs of a Psychopath ("I Felt a Release" and "They Named Me Stormy")

- a season 12 edition of true crime series Deadly Women ("Twisted Desires")

- a new series 10 edition of true crime series Murder by the Sea ("Hanged On Man")

- a season 1 episode of western series The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp ("The Pinkertons") and The Texan ("Blood Money")

- and a season 4 edition of true crime series Murder Comes to Town ("Coal Miner's Slaughter").

Comments: Usually an edition of Signs of a Psychopath is in a half-hour (including ads) timeslot. Occasionly, there is the odd hour-long edition (including ads).

The case in tonight's new edition of Murder by the Sea took place on the Isle of Man in the late-nineteenth century.

I think it'll take you forever to keep posting these?
I will abbreviate my posts to refer solely to the programme I enjoyed the most each night instead.

Saturday night I really enjoyed the Z Cars episode, Ralph Bates and (briefly) Lynda Bellingham. The plot really kept me guessing and I didn't see the twist coming at the end either.

Nothing particularly exciting on Sunday, but tonight I watched this morning's new episode of Four Star Playhouse
with Ida Lupino.
I loved the fact that it included ALL the Singer promos and Ida Lupino's outro as well. I don't think any of the other episodes I have seen have been so complete.

United Kingdom Four Star Playhouse and Z-Cars

The Four Star Playhouse episode "House for Sale" was very good (helped partly by Ida Lupino). The following new (to Talking Pictures) episode "The Returning", it wasn't until the ending where I totally 'got' it (also, it wasn't as complete as "House for Sale").

The three-part Z-Cars story so far has cemented why I've stuck with the programme. When it first started on the channel, I didn't think it would be as good as the latter 'shot on location' episodes of Dixon of Dock Green. But they've been as good as that show. The story concludes tomorrow night, before the surviving episodes move onto the beginning of Series 11 a week tomorrow (the start of a two-part story). My favourite characters on these episodes of Z-Cars are Render and Haggar.

United Kingdom Z-Cars (last Saturday evening)

A few months ago, a surviving episode of Z-Cars had quite a few music tracks in it (two members of the Newtown detective team visited a club where something suspicious might have been going on). Fast forward to the episode shown last Saturday evening ("Legacy"), and there were (I counted) three tracks heard in scenes at the hotel where an hitman was staying. I recognised two of them as they had been on random editions of Top of the Pops from the same year that this episode of Z-Cars premiered on UK TV in:

Love Me Love My Dog - Peter Shelley
There's a Whole Lot of Loving - Guys 'n' Dolls.

Thought the three-part story came to a mostly satisfying end
[Show spoiler](didn't look though like the two hitmen who killed Skinner in the woods by the cottage were found).

The actor who played the hitman in "Legacy" I recognised from the last series of The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin (he played Reggie's son-in-law Tom).
