I personally have done no break-in and really haven't gotten any IR to speak of. A couple times after turning off the PS3 I can see partial images of the wallpaper, but that goes away instantly with either a new channel or the whitewash.

I have a 50G10, and everything I have read shows that the G15 uses the same panel. I've been using CNET's settings, and have tried some I found over at AVS and TweakTV. Overall, I prefer CNET's thus far. I should be getting the Spears and Munsil disk in today and will try it.

The one thing I have been unhappy with is the banding and I fully think it's because my set isn't quite calibrated properly. Hence why I'm buying that disc. Anyway, I'll post what I come up with, but personally I don't think it's necessary to break in a set. Yes, some change may come in as the set is used, but if I find it to be an issue I'll just pull out the disk again.
