I think Waters finally has inserted his head so far up his own butt that could be a real-life Scarfe drawing. I've had enough of his lunatic politics and rantings, his voice is crap, and just tours every 5-10 years to play the same old 40+ year old songs because he hasn't done anything nearly as good as them since. I'm good listening to these in much better versions on Us + Them or The Wall Blu Rays. I'm not giving this dinosaur any more of my money.

I find it kind of weird the Czech Republic has a place called the O2 Arena as well. Couldn't think of anything more original (yes I know it's the same company naming rights but still)? When I saw O2 I just assumed it was London. Maybe his hometown crowd didn't give him the kind of reaction he wanted?

Always loved Waters. Yes, he's a whingeing old man with a lorry load of complaints and chips on his shoulder the size of the Titanic. He's come out with some bizarre stuff in the last year or 2 (Mrs Gilmour has called him a fascist no less) but that's social media for you.

He's Roger. His shows are totally ****ing amazing.

As for the tribute band (when he left them) Pink Floyd they were just boring and not one decent song has been released. I liked everyone in the band and appreciate them but no Roger = no good tunes.

I've followed his music my entire life.

He's annoying as hell but he's just being Roger.

Infamy infamy, they've all got it in for me!

While no PF member's post 1980 work is really all that good IMO, I would argue the pseudo-Floyd is still better than RW's output. That said, my biggest beef with RW is that it's his ego and general delusionality as a person that broke up PF and kept them from making good music for a longer period of time. I've seen RW live twice. I was supposed to see him for this tour but then COVID hit and I moved to Hawaii where he didn't tour. The Wall tour was amazing. When I saw him on his next tour the quality had gone down significantly and the insanity had gone up considerably. Kind of glad I missed the post COVID tour.

If this release gets low enough, like his other Blu Rays have gotten, I may pick it up. Unlike the PF releases, the RW ones actually seem to attain reasonable prices at some point.

But that's just my humble opinion.

Yeah, very similar to me. I love Pink Floyd, but the later stuff is as dull as dishwater. I saw them twice on the Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour (Manchester, Maine Road and London Docklands). It must have been a year between the two shows, and the Maine Road one was amazing, Docklands was just boring and soulless

But, when he (Waters) starts spouting on he gets on my tits.

I didn't mind The Lockdown Sessions, but The Dark Side of the Moon Redux was bobbins

High Hopes? Marooned? Learning to Fly? Sorrow? I'm a Roger fanboy (The Final Cut is one of my favourites) but they were still a good band and The Division Bell is an excellent final album (lets not talk about The Endless River lol).

Couple of mildly catchy watered down tribute tunes. Music by numbers. Back of a fag packet instrumentals and maybe a few unfinished ditties Roger left behind on his seat whilst in court.

Just listen to The Wall or Wish You Were Here and then go listen to the stuff Waters wasn't invloved in.

I have tried very hard to give the tribute act respect (I buy most of their separate stuff) for their tribute PF stuff but it's all weak and samey. Didn't one of their boxsets have flashing red LEDs? Huh. I did return to it in the last few years as I had FLACs but it's all breathtakingly bland. There's no anger or passion.

All Roger's post PF albums are great to me and he's always got something to grind his teeth over. All the great PF stuff is Roger being angry about something. Anything.

His problem now really is just nobody really wants to talk to him except crazy people who will let him talk out his arse for hours or the odd TV news channel that's trying trap him.

If you're a multi-millionaire you can get away with all sorts of stuff as we've seen with Morrissey's, Van Morrison's and Eric Clapton's horrible rants during COVID.

Their great music helps people forgive them.

Personally I'd put High Hopes above anything Waters did post floyd, absolutely gorgeous track up there with their best work. Amused to Death is a really good record but all his other solo stuff doesn't come close imo.

Fwiw my favourite Floyd album is Animals followed by Wish You Were Here & Dark Side of the Moon.

I'd say Jeff Beck had a LOT do with that album being great. Eric Clapton's noodling on Pros and Cons... was a complete snoozefest.

Fair point, probably the most overrated guitarist of the 20th century although I do love the title track

I put on the blu ray of 'Amused To Death' whenever I'm in a really good mood and need to take it down a notch.

Couldn't agree more, High Hopes is an stunning song.

Momentary Lapse of reason has a couple great ones as well.

Waters does put on a great live show though, seen him a few times, and the live concerts are something to see.
