I get the impression that the decision makers in the film industry (incl those who decide what goes 4K) are of a younger generation that have very little appreciation for some of the great classic movies of the past. I don't mean B&W just pre 2000 would do. If it's about money? It's the retired generation sitting at home still with blue-ray players waiting to buys such improved classics.
