The double KO's are numerous because people are unwilling to make a different, more interesting move so they get what they deserve. I've done, you've done it. We both know we could have pulled off a better result if we didn't rely on the hope we'd started punching earlier enough to avoid the other players swing.

This counter system sounds complicated, unintuitive and even more of a nightmare for the netcode to handle.

No not true when a guy runs right into you can smack him and roll away and got shot down or have a smacking contest see whos going to win it.Odley though you both lose.It reminds me a little bit of gears

If you roll in the direction they're already aiming.

And there's often the option of throwing a grenade at the other person's feet and rolling out. There's enough danger for the smarter player to keep moving and not rely on smacking the other player twice.
