Finished episodes 5 through 7. Now that we are out of the woods and away from the Dollface gang, episode 5 is the first really good episode of the show. Not surprising its also the beginning of the tournament.
The show works better and is so much more entertaining when all the characters are together and interacting. John shows that he isn't completely incompetent in the first match as well. I love that [Show spoiler] died in episode 6.When season 1 ended, I had a feeling John would use his wish to ask for someone to come back to life. I just assumed it would have been Quiet, who I originally predicted would've been killed off by now. I still wonder if John wins, Calypso will instead grant John's wish from that flashback in episode 6. Anthony Carrigan is perfect as Calypso btw. Just a complete creep. Don't like the girl Mayhem though. Character feels kind of pointless. |

The last three episodes made up for a somewhat lackluster mid-season. Really hoping this gets renewed.

Finished 8 and 9.
These both felt like filler episodes. Better than the first 4, but it feels like the show writers are dragging the story out again. Keeping them in the school feels like a way to keep the budget down and avoid expensive set pieces. Episode 8 wasn't so bad since you had people inside the school trying to kill the main characters. Even though you every guy except for John hiding in a room while Quiet, Raven and the chick with the weird kill everyone else. Episode 9 was complete filler though. Just having an episode with them all at a prom, dancing with each other? Did we really need that? It was a nice cameo by Devon Sawa though Also, did I miss something in one of the earlier episodes about the guy Dave being a [Show spoiler] ? When Stu made a joke about it I had no idea what he was talking

Honestly adding 2 extra episodes didn't help anything, just gave them more episodes to stretch out the 10 episodes worth of story.
I never played the game, but is this magic stuff part of it? Just seems a bit out of place in this world to me. |

I actually liked this quite a bit. I am shocked and I am really looking forward to a season 3 if we get it.
Sweet Tooth and Calypso are friggin awesome!! And can someone tell me what this is supposed to mean? Yes, Calypso says the line! I have never played the game. |
