Two fictional characters are well-known for being elegant and for wearing long black dresses. They are Holly Golightly from the 1961 "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and Morticia Addams from "The Addams Family" saga. But who is more elegant: Holly or Morticia? Now's your chance to vote. There are many components of elegance, but one such element is composure. Someone once said "A queen never loses her composure", so in that respect, Morticia Addams has a very queenly personality while still showing very subtle levels of emotion (unlike Holly Golightly, who really freaked out at one point in her movie for reasons I cannot remember). And Morticia
Addams maintains her composure during events that
would outrage or horrify most normal people. Remember how calm she was in "Addams Family Values" when she found out Wednesday and Pugsley had tried to outright murder their newborn baby brother? I think 99% of parents have gotten much madder at their kids for doing much less.
