Need a new game.. CoD MW2, Uncharted 2 , or Fallout 3???

I suck at these type of shooter games, but i wanna learn.. what do you guys suggest and why?

Uncharted 2 has better single player. MW2 has better multiplayer. Overall, I would have to say get whichever you can get cheapest, but deffinatly pick up the other one when you can afford it. Both are very good games and both clear candidates for game of the year.

The MP statement is debateable. IMO the MP is COMPLETELY different between U2 and MW2. So it will be up to preference.

For SP, I would pick either U2 or Fallout 3. If you are an RPGish person I would go Fallout 3. Fallout 3 is also the best bang for your buck as you can easily make the game 100 hours of play even without the GOTY/DLC.

see thats the thing.. i WANT to be descent enough to play online or with friends, but im so bad at cod its sick.. I have cod 4 and i played online a few times and died almost instantly..

I dunno what it is with those games, i just cant aim right, and i usually get lost.. hell in the begining of CoD4 i got lost in the damn ship trying to get out before it sank for like 10 minutes..


I have excellent memory and direction in the real world, but in cod/map games, i couldnt get from the first floor to the second in a damn stairwell

I would go with a game you can play with friends, even if your a casual gamer you pick up the game pretty quickly and can have some fun.

I'd probably go with Uncharted 2 if it were between that and COD: MF 2. If you were to become frustrated and unmotivated to play either games multiplayer, Uncharted 2 offers undoubtedly the better single player.

Go get a used copy of Bad Company for around 12.00 and try it out. It also has a Good multiplayer....Then spend some money on MW2....

I haven't played Modern Warfare 2 yet, so that could factor into my opinion.

Of the 3, I'd probably get Uncharted 2, but you can't really go wrong with any of them.

I haven't played the add-on stuff for Fallout 3, but the original game by itself is worth buying. If you are a GameFly member you could get the GotY edition for $30, I think. Might be worth trying a GameFly trial just to get access to their store.

Uncharted 2 was my favorite game of the past, I don't know, 5, maybe 10 years. I got tired of the multi-player after a while, because it just seems to get awfully repetitive.

Modern Warfare 2 might last the longest of the 3 games, because I played CoD4 as recently as about 2 weeks ago, and never went more than a couple weeks without playing it, ever since it came out. The only gets repetitive after a while, but the pace of it makes it very addicting to jump on and play a few rounds, whereas the multiplayer in Uncharted felt sluggish to me at times, and wasn't as conducive to quick sessions of a couple rounds.

If you are worried about being bad at them, just give them all a bit of time, and you should be able to figure it out. I got Modern Warfare a few weeks after it came out, and my cousin warned me of how good people were online. I got killed a lot when starting out, but after a bit of playing, I was able to more than hold my own. I think Uncharted is a little less forgiving to new players online, but even then it's not to bad.

You could always flip a three-sided coin.

haha, yeaa i wish i had the patience to just sit for like 12-14 hrs a week to learn the controls, shooting/aiming etc.. Which is why i only play games im good at , from the past.. GH, RB Tiger woods, Forza .. Easy games to begin with,

In Uncharted 2 you can create a Custom Match (i.e. no strangers killing you, no actual points) and just explore the maps, learn shortcuts and weapon placement, hiding spots and practice killing your friends with all of the weapons

You sound like me I'm horrible at these shooter games but I have been getting into them. Get battlefield 1943 off the psn its $14.99 and its really fun to play. Download the demo and see if you like it.

All are great.

Uncharted 2 has a fantastic single player! Utterly fantastic! It's a good size story, about 8 hours. Haven't touched the multiplayer so I can't comment on that.

Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer is amazing. You'll log a lot of hours on there. The campaign is great, but I must admit, not as great as Uncharted 2. And it's only 5 hours long. But, the online aspect and spec-ops make up for that.

Fallout 3, well, it's for a particular mood. At least for me. It's a great game, but I get tired of walking around getting owned by raiders. It's an extremely long story not including the DLC. I have a friend who logged 150+ hours on Fallout 3. This will last you a while.

I'd say it's between Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2. Your choice.

Edit: Just read you have $750 and don't know what to do with it! Buy all three.

If you suck at COD4, you're gonna suck at MW2, especially since there are lots more annoying kids playing now with nothing better to do then to get good at the game then there were when COD4 launched 2 years ago.

Uncharted 2 might be a better buy for you. I haven't played Fallout 3 yet so I can't comment on that one.
