The NEW Italian Job - Blu-ray Forum

Does anybody know if there will be a newer release of The Italian Job with an upgraded audio set? I waited for Superman Returns and my wish came true. I love this movie...but would love better sound before I buy.

I highly doubt it. Maybe a question for one of the insiders. But, I highly doubt it unless a sequel was made.

Give us the original Michael Caine classic on blu, please Paramount!

Original available in the UK and Amazon will ship to states. I have it and it is quite nice.

Re: Remake. I second a remaster. Perhaps is The Brazilian Job ever gets off the ground Paramount will revisit it.

There is no chance that Paramount does a remaster and makes a new release. Minor catalog titles just do not get double-dipped. Buy one of the import editions with lossless audio. The economics of creating Blu-rays is fundamentally different than what it was on dvd. Only major titles will see legitimately new editions anytime soon.

According to High Def Disc News; The Italian Job (Remake) is being remastered for PQ an AQ. Re-issue date is March 23.

A sequel is being made. Its called the Brazilian Job I believe. Got Em!!
