That site is connected with 220 Electronics, a Chicagoland company that has sold region-free hardware for years--first DVD, then BD. However, there are two major caveats with that player:
  1. It is a hardware-hacked player, which voids Panny's warranty; 220 will have to fix any hardware issues.
  2. It will NOT convert 50Hz video (PAL, 1080i50) to a U.S.-compatible 60Hz format (NTSC, 1080i/p60); if your TV won't handle it (most U.S. TVs don't), you'll need to buy an external video converter. This is an issue with DVDs, TV BDs, and extras on some movie BDs; it's usually NOT an issue with the main feature on movie BDs as 1080p24 is used worldwide.
The Sherwood has remote hacks that work out-of-the-box without voiding the warranty; it also upconverts all video (including 50Hz) to 1080p60 over HDMI when set properly--even though its own manual says otherwise. Its DVD "region 0" setting isn't RCE-proof, but you can get around that by manually setting the correct region before inserting the disc. (Edit: That's a necessity for BDs as there is NO valid "all region" setting; Region B or C must be selected before inserting the disc. Except for DVD "region 0", all hacks reset when you turn it off.) It's also far cheaper than anything 220 sells--about $160 from multiple vendors.
