Yep. Behind my monitor with the speaker on top + angled down a bit. This trucker is going to be pretty heavy once its filled with sand . I'm going to guess about 40pds. Its 52" tall right now. Still have to angle the top and add some isolation pads up there as well.

SAND??? Why are you filling it with sand? You'll need a crane to move it! Honestly, I think that is overkill.

Does it need to be filled with anything? If the base is sturdy as is, I don't know what you'd gain by adding sand. If the base isn't sturdy, well then maybe you'd gain some added support with sand. Are you just talking about filling the base, or all the way up the shaft of the stand as well? Maybe I thought you meant something other than you did.

No no, I think you were on the right track....the whole thing was going to be filled with sand. The base is sturdy. The only thing I'm worried about is resonation from the void in the shaft. Should I not be concerned with this? Hell, if I don't need to fill eer' up, that would be nice.

If that is what you're concerned about (sound resonating in the shaft), I would suggest loose polyfill rather than sand. If you put sand in anything, maybe just the base to add weight.

I already have the sand, so I may just fill it and see how much it weighs. If its to much, I'll dump it out and throw some poly-fill in there.
